Results of The NED’s selection survey
The NED has conducted a survey on selection of independent directors to fund boards. The findings have been arrived at through a combination of interviews and desk research.
Interviews were conducted with people who routinely advise managers on candidates for fund board positions. This comprised lawyers, service providers and consultants in Guernsey, Ireland, Jersey, the UK and the US. The desk research has come from analysis of patterns of independent director selection taken from the boards of 1,254 funds, from 82 managers.
