How would describe your approach to fund governance?
Specialised, independent and regulated. With increasing focus on fund governance by institutional investors and regulators who expect independence on the board, expertise when acting as a director, regulatory know-how and a strong understanding of risk management, the Bell Rock Group is at the forefront of professional independent director services for the hedge fund industry. We have over 60 years of combined industry experience in risk management, portfolio management, law and governance. We engage with industry bodies on a wide range of governance matters affecting investment funds and our services promote and enhance the marketability of funds while providing a level of comfort to investors.

Each director takes a hands on approach and we meet with managers at least once a year in person to do our own due diligence.  Given the increased operational and regulatory requirements faced by directors we feel it is important that we assess the time required for each fund appointment carefully and therefore, each director holds a select number of relationships.
The Bell Rock Group is regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) and our directors are approved by CIMA under the Director Registration & Licensing Law 2014.
