Investor influence grows

At an event that The NED hosted on September 21 in London a number of speakers made the point that investor influence in alternative fund governance, particularly with regard to board matters, is growing ever stronger.

But investors aren’t having it all their own way. The results of the research that The NED conducted with those that advise on board selection shows that just 24% of respondents think that investors should be consulted on board appointments. In particular, the lawyers that participated in this survey tended to think, as general rule, that investors should not be consulted on director selection.
