The governance of digital assets

Results of the first ever research study conducted with investors, managers and directors on the governance of digital assets

The NED had begun the fieldwork for this research study just before the collapse of FTX. When that event hit the headlines it was decided to pause the fieldwork, in order to see how systemic the FTX debacle was for the industry.

Most of the fieldwork was therefore conduced in December and January. 23 respondents took part in the study. The breakdown was:

Investors    13%
Managers    13%
Directors    74%

Following is a summary of the research questions and responses. Some of those who participated in this study did so by interview. Others gave their answers in writing.
